About VelocityVerify

VelocityVerify provides browser-based broadband diagnostics and practical guides to home networking. The interface helps you inspect download and upload throughput, latency, jitter and latency under load, and understand the conditions that can affect a result.

A browser test is a diagnostic snapshot, not proof of intentional throttling or a guarantee of your connection's long-term performance. Compare repeated tests using consistent devices, connection methods and conditions.

The Infrastructure

The site and measurement endpoints use Cloudflare Pages and Pages Functions. See the methodology for measurement behavior and limitations.

No database persistence is configured in the production Pages settings checked on October 8, 2026. The API supports optional Supabase storage, but no required database bindings were present. Its optional results record does not contain an IP address. The ISP Index uses a separately supplied dataset, not an active pipeline of newly stored test submissions. Read the Data Policy for request processing, local history and sharing.

Why We Write

A fast speed test is useful for 30 seconds. A well-explained guide on fixing bufferbloat, or a data-driven analysis of peak-hour ISP degradation, is useful for years. The editorial side of VelocityVerify exists because the technical details of home networking are genuinely hard to find explained in plain language — and because ISP marketing has a strong incentive to keep them that way.

We aim to support technical claims with cited sources, documented measurements, or clearly labelled vendor specifications. We do not accept sponsored content, and we correct material errors when identified.

Who We Are

Read our Editorial Policy for full details on how we test, how we handle corrections, and how our affiliate revenue works. See our Testing Methodology for the technical specifics of how measurements are taken.
