How We Fund Our Lab

Network testing requires expensive equipment—spectrum analyzers, bare-metal servers, and a rotating inventory of enterprise and consumer routers. To fund our testing labs and keep our speed test tools free, we utilize affiliate marketing. The editorial and testing teams at VelocityVerify operate completely independently from our monetization team. Our network engineers (CCNAs) do not know, nor do they care, which router or VPN pays the highest commission.

How We Make Money

When you click on a link to purchase a router on Amazon, sign up for a VPN, or check availability for an ISP from our platform, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.

Data Before Dollars

We routinely publish negative reviews of heavily marketed routers if their firmware is unstable, or downgrade VPNs if our packet-sniffing tools detect a DNS leak. If a product fails our bench tests, we will say so, regardless of any affiliate partnership.

If an ISP sponsors a post, it will be unambiguously flagged as "Sponsored Content" and will not be factored into our editorial rankings or speed test leaderboards.
